ETA Announces Proposed New Data Collection For WIRED Evaulation
ETA is currently soliciting comments on a new proposed data collection for the Workforce Innovation in Regional Economic Development (WIRED) Initiative Evaluation. Comments are due by December 8, 2008.   (10/09/08)
GAO Report: Employment and Training Program Grants: Evaluating Impact and Enhancing Monitoring Would Improve Accountability
GAO recommends that Labor take steps to ensure that it can evaluate the initiatives' impact, documents compliance with statutory program requirements for noncompetitive grant awards, and develops and implements a risk-based monitoring approach for WIRED grants.  (05/08/08)
Council on Competiveness Announces Availability of "Cooperate: A Practitioner's Guide for Effective Alignment of Regional Development and Higher Education"
A new Guide -- "Cooperate: A Practitioner's Guide for Effective Alignment of Regional Development and Higher Education" -- is the result of a partnership between the Employment and Training Administration's Workforce Innovation in Regional Economic Development (WIRED) Initiative, which has provided funding, and the Council on Competitiveness.   (03/18/08)

U.S. Department of Labor Announces Competition for WIRED Initiative's 3rd Generation
