This position oversees the large and highly complex Unemployment Insurance Modernization Project. The Project Manager will manage all phases of the project and supervise project team. This position will ensure successful implementation of the project by the vendor, ensure the project stays on schedule and on budget and regularly communicate the project status to agency executive management.

Minimum Requirements:

Must hold a PMP certification
Technical application experience
Management consulting experience
Work knowledge of procurement processes, particularly related to vendors providing IT services
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Excellent consulting and client management skills
Excellent analytical skills
Proficiency in MS Project.
Progressively responsible project management and supervisory experience
Experience implementing major IT projects
Experience resolving project problems involving multiple internal/external partners

Must have 4,500 hours of successful project management experience as a member of the management team or as a Project manager on multiple IT Projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Business, IT, Engineering or related field or suitable combination of experience and training

Having successfully performed as the Project Manager for at least one project with a total cost over $1,000,000.
