The Employment and Training Administration has distributed an updated memorandum to all State Workforce Administrators providing information on Fiscal Year (FY) 2007 and FY 2008 rescissions and prospective reduction for Program Year (PY) 2008 for the WIA, Adult, Dislocated Workers, and Youth programs as enacted by Congress.

Attached are detailed explanations of the rescissions and the funding years that are impacted. In addition, there is an attached chart that provides preliminary estimates of the impact for each state of the retroactive rescissions.

Please note that a conference call is scheduled for Monday, January 14, 2008, beginning at 2 p.m. ending 3:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. State Workforce Administrators are encouraged to participate personally and to invite their budget and finance directors to participate as well.
