What is JobCentral NLX?

JobCentral is a service of the DirectEmployers Association (DEA), a non-profit organization consisting of over 475, mostly Fortune 500 companies. DEA's mission supports the public policy goals of improving the efficiency of the US labor market and reducing the cost of online recruitment.

In March 2007, NASWA and its constituent state workforce agencies endorsed JobCentral as their national electronic labor exchange system. Successive agreements between state workforce agencies and DEA, linked state-run job banks to JobCentral creating a unique public/private employment network - the JobCentral National Labor Exchange (NLX). Today, NLX is a sophisticated employment search engine replacing the defunct America's Job Bank at no cost to the federal government.

NLX has jobs listed in over 6,200 cities and 200+ major metropolitan areas across the United States plus over 1,000 affiliate sites including major search engines. The site uses advanced search technology to index ("spider") jobs from corporate web sites. When job seekers click on a job they are linked directly to the application process on either a company's web site or a state workforce agency job bank. NLX jobs are accessed by over four million users worldwide each month.
